About the Train:Deccan Odyssey is just not a train it is one of the luxurious experiences of train travel in the world. State-of-the-art amenities are a speciality. Cabins:Of the 21 luxury coaches of Deccan Odyssey, there are 11 passenger cars and 2 presidential suites for accommodation. The passenger cars have 4 coupes each and the presidential suites. Guests can enjoy en-suite washrooms with running hot and cold water, intercom, channel music, CD/MP3 players, wall-to-wall carpeting and other luxuries. Each passenger car also has a lounge with a plasma TV installed for the entertainment.
Other than accommodation, Deccan Odyssey boasts of two separate coaches serving as restaurants. There are also are separate coaches for spa & sauna and gymnasium, a lounge-cum-bar car and a conference car which doubles as a dance floor at night. The train also offers a beauty parlour makeover on board. A personal attendant, 'khidmatgar' is also appointed in each cabin to look after the comfort of the guests. Separate cars are provided to staff, generator, luggage, pantry and for other such reasons.
