Built in 1568, it is the oldest active synagogue in the Commonwealth of Nations. Later, visit the beautiful churches and other structures such as Mattacherry Palace in Fort Kochi. On day 4, start your road journey to Munnar, arguably the best hill station in Kerala. Upon reaching, check-in at the hotel. Chauffeur- driven car is provided for exploring this beautiful hill town. On day 6, get ready for an early morning visit to one of the best national parks in Kerala, Periyar National Park. Enjoy game safari by boat ride in the Periyar Lake. Groups of elephants can be spotted here. The wildlife reserve was founded in 1895 by British and is home to various animal species like langur, wild boar, sambar, bison etc. The park has around 1000 elephants and 46 tigers. Today, in the morning, your road journey to one of the best backwater destinations of Kerala, Kumarakom starts. On the way, stop for lunch at a city restaurant. Continue your drive. As you reach Kumarakom, check-in at the hotel. The beautiful Kumarakom town is placed on the banks of Lake Vembanad and offers peaceful holidays. The lush ambiance is refreshing for the eyes.

Day 8 of the tour is at leisure. There are a number of things to do. Get into a houseboat to visit the very popular Kumarakom bird sanctuary and Pathiramanal Island for enjoying bird watching. A boat ride on the placid waters of the Vembanad Lake is truly wonderful and relaxing. The other two attractions in Kumarakom that are worth-visiting are Aruvikkuzhi Waterfalls and Bay Island Driftwood Museum.

In the morning, enjoy a short drive to board your rice barge (houseboat, which is locally known as kettuvallam). This overnight houseboat is from Kumarakom to Alleppey. These exceptional, transformed rice barges offer a peaceful medium for exploring the placid Kerala backwaters, watching the relaxed village life, viewing the paddy fields, enjoying bird watching around you. Meals, prepared by the expert chef accompanying you, are served on-board the houseboat. The rower doubles up as a guide also.

On the 10th day, in the morning disembark at Alleppey. Later on, drive to Mararikulam Beach, which is around 11 km from Alleppey. The beach can be visited all around the year and is equally popular amid honeymooning couples and peace-lovers. The beach is named after Mararikulam, a laid-back fishermen's village. After fun activities, check into a beach resort.
