Detail Itinerary

Assemble at the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel and get transferred to Chatrapati Shivaji Terminus Railway Station. Board the Maharajas' Express as the train chugs off towards Ajanta.

Dinner and overnight stay in the Maharaja-like setting of the train.

Start the day with breakfast. Later, embark on an excursion to Ajanta Caves, the rock-cut caves dating back to 2nd century B.C. Comprising of Hindu, Buddhist and Jain sculpted art, these ancient relics are of breath-taking beauty.

Return to the train for a hearty lunch. Evening at leisure. Enjoy the luxurious comforts of the palatial train. Dinner and overnight stay on-board as the train proceeds to Udaipur.

Begin the day with scrumptious breakfast. Later, embark on a sightseeing tour to the City Palace complex and Crystal gallery. The City of Lakes is a beauty nestled in Rajasthan. Resplendent in splendid architecture, there are marvellous sights.

Indulge in an extravagant lunch at either Satkar Mahal or Fateh Prakash Palace/Jag Mandir. After you have satiated on the delicious platters of lunch, return to the train. You can also take the optional tour to embark on a walking tour across Old Bazaar. Or, try a spa session at a luxury hotel in the city, or attend the light and sound show.

Dinner and overnight stay on-board the train.

Today, you will arrive in the Sun City of Rajasthan, Jodhpur. Morning at leisure or you may embark on a tour to Bishnoi Village or enjoy a spa session at a premium hotel in the city.

Lunch will be served on board. Post-lunch, choose to rejuvenate yourself with spa facilities at a 5-star hotel. For sightseeing, visit the Umaid Bhawan Palace Museum and Jaswant Thada or else go for a private shopping tour.

In the evening today, an exclusive Royal Cocktail dinner is arranged. Accompanying the delectable food, there are cultural performance (puppet show) at Hanwant Mahal. The evening concludes with a show of fireworks.

Later, return to train for dinner and overnight stay.

On arrival in the city, take an optional tour to either Deshnok temples or Lalgarh Palace Museum. These marvellous sights of Bikaner are rich in splendid architecture. In the afternoon, head to the Junagarh Fort. One of the oldest forms of Rajputana architecture, the fort is an intriguing sight.

Return to the train for lunch. Later, take a ride on a camel cart nearby Sam sand dunes. Take a halt for rest at the Gajner Palace for tea. Later in the evening, enjoy a sand dune excursion. The thrilling ride is followed by cultural performances by the Kalbeliya and Langa artists accompanied with sundowner cocktails.

Overnight stay aboard the train.

Begin the day with appetizing breakfast. Later, explore the impregnable Amber Fort. The royal relic of the Pink City is a treasure of marvelous architecture. Later, proceed to City Palace/Jai Mahal Palace for an exclusive Elephant Activity. Guests may choose to indulge in painting them, feeding them or taking joy ride. After you are done with having a gala time with the gentle beasts, proceed for lunch.

Post lunch, continue to visit the sights of Jaipur. The Royal Observatory (Jantar Mantar) is a marvellous sight. Optionally, you may also choose activities such as Spa facilities at a Palace hotel, visit to Amer Fort, private shopping tour or a golf session at Rambagh Golf club.

Later, return to train for dinner and overnight stay.

Post breakfast, enjoy an early morning jeep safari through the Ranthambore National Park. After safari, savour on the lunch aboard the Maharajas' Express while you will travel down to Fatehpur Sikri, one of the celebrated UNESCO World Heritage Sites. De-board to explore the ancient Mughal city. The abandoned complex has unexploited beauty to be discovered. The Buland Darwaza and Panch Mahal are the popular highlights.

In the evening, return to the train for dinner and overnight stay.

Early morning, the last day of the tour, arrive in Agra. Deboard to pay a visit to UNESCO World Heritage Site, Taj Mahal. One of the seven wonders of the worlds, the white marble-structure was built as a memory of love by Mughal Empire for his love. Delight in the pleasure of lavish breakfast accompanied by Champagne at Taj Khema.

Relish the grand lunch aboard the Maharajas' Express, as the train proceeds back to Delhi. On arrival, de-board the train as it marks the unforgettable journey through heritage of India.

Payment
  • Pay 25% of tour cost at least 90 days or more prior to departure date and pay remaining amount 60 days prior to departure date.
  • Pay 100% of the tour cost if you are booking 59 days prior to departure date.
  • You will have to pay all bank charges.
  • The prevailing rate of exchange on the date of transaction would be applicable
Cancellation Policy

The cancellation policy that is followed by the train is as:

  • 60 days or more prior to departure, 25% of published price.
  • 45 to 59 days prior to departure, 50% of the published price.
  • 0 to 44 days prior to departure, 100% of the published price.
