Detail Itinerary

On your arrival in Delhi Safdarjung Railway Station, receive a warm welcome in Indian traditional way by the crew of Maharajas Express. Board the train and be ushered to your cabin after completing the formalities.

Dinner is to be served on-board. The train leaves for Agra at 22:00 hours. Stay overnight in the luxury train.

The train arrives to Agra at 7 A.M. Champagne breakfast is to be served at Taj Khema. Next, proceed to visit the icon of love, the Taj Mahal. The Seventh Wonder of the World, a UNESCO World Heritage Site is a white-marble mausoleum built by Mughal emperor, Shah Jahan for his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal. The masterpiece was built in 22 years. Marvel at the awe-inspiring architecture and the fine decoration of semi-precious stones, inlay work, jalis and other such elements.

Next, you have a choice of visiting Agra Fort or Spa rejuvenation in a five star hotel or shopping. Make your choice, following which you can choose between either returning to the comforts of Maharajas' Express or attend the charming Mohabbat The Taj Show.

Dinner is to be served on-board. The train leaves for the next destination, Sawai Madhopur.

Start the day with scrumptious breakfast on-board. Later, embark on a thrilling game safari to Ranthambore National Park. The wildlife sanctuary has been an erstwhile game sanctuary of the region's royalty and abounds in the Tigers and other wild animals.

Get back to your train, as the train departs for Jaipur. Delight in the scrumptious lunch served on-board. On arrival in Jaipur, leave for a visit to the Royal Observatory (Jantar Mantar). Optionally, you may also choose activities such as a Spa session at a Palace hotel, visit to Amer Fort, private shopping tour or a golf session at Rambagh Golf club.

Later, proceed to City Palace/Jai Mahal Palace for an exclusive Elephant Activity. Here guests may choose to indulge to paint them, feed them or take a joy ride.

Next, return to the train for dinner and overnight stay.

Early morning, arrive in the deserted kingdom of Bikaner. Choose to take an optional tour to either Lalgarh Palace or Deshnok Temple. In the afternoon, pay a visit to the majestic Junagarh Fort.

After lunch, proceed for a camel ride through the sand dunes. Later in the evening, enjoy the folk dance performances by Kalbeliyas and Langaas over cocktails and barbecue dinner.

Board the train for your overnight stay as the train proceeds to Jodhpur.

The Blue City of Rajasthan, Jodhpur is one of the incredible destination in your rail tour. Savour an unhurried breakfast, after which get ready for a jeep safari to Bishnoi's abode Rohet. The haven for Black Buck Antelope is also known for cultural experience.

Lunch on board. Post-lunch, embark on expedition to the magnificent Mehrangarh Fort and the Old Clock Tower Market. Optionally, choose to rejuvenate yourself with spa facilities at a 5 star hotel or sightseeing tour to Umaid Bhawan Palace Museum and Jaswant Thada or browse through the vibrant markets on a private shopping tour.

Later, freshen-up and attend an exclusive Royal Cocktail evening. To add spice to the delicious meal, there is a cultural performance (puppet show) at Hanwant Mahal. The evening will conclude with a show of fireworks.

Post dinner, return to the train for overnight stay.

Start the day with a healthy breakfast on-board. Today the train halts at Udaipur, the City of Lakes. The amorous setting of the city is without a doubt blissful. Proceed for a boating tour on Lake Pichola and then visit City Palace and Crystal Gallery.

Enjoy a delicious lunch at Satkar Hall of Fateh Prakash Palace/ Jagmandir Palace. Get back to the comforts of your luxury train or spend time shopping/ enjoying spa facilities at a five-star hotel/or attend the Sound and Light Show.

Enjoy a scrumptious dinner served on-board as train leaves for Balasinor. Stay overnight in Maharajas' Express.

Partake in the refreshing breakfast, as the train chugs into Sevalia Station. De-board at the station after which you are escorted to the Dinosaur Fossil Park. Afterwards, proceed for village walking tour and a visit to the Garden Palace.

Lunch is hosted by the royal family of Balasinor at Garden Palace. Later, return to the comforts of your luxury train as the train leaves for Mumbai. Enjoy an "Indian Evening" after which the dinner is served on board. Overnight stay in the luxury train.

The Indian Splendour tour of the Maharajas' Express ends today. Relish the breakfast served on-board, as the train arrives at Mumbai in Lokmanya Tilak Terminus. De-board the luxury train and bid adieu to this magical rail journey of Maharajas Express.

Booking Policy

Booking policy followed by the Maharajas Express is as follows:

  • If booking is done prior to 90 days of departure or more, then 25% of the total tariff is to be paid at the time of booking.
  • Remaining 75% of ticket value can be paid 60 days prior to departure.
  • If booking is done less than 60 days of departure or less, then full 100% of the total tariff is to be paid at the time of booking.
Cancellation Policy

The cancellation policy that is followed by the train is as:

  • If cancelled 60 days or more prior to departure date, then 25% of the published tour cost is deducted.
  • If cancelled 45-59 days prior to departure date, then 50% of the published tour cost is deducted.
  • If cancelled 0-44 days prior to departure date, then 100% of the published tour cost is deducted.
  • If you fail to show up on the departure date, then 100% of the published tour cost is deducted.
