One of the particular tourist attractions here is the hot spring located on the right side of the Yumthang River.

  • Ravangla

Founded during the reign of the fourth Chogyal in 1740, this fabulous structure is four stories high. Beside a special prayer hall, the monastery showcases “thanka” paintings and impressive murals. Kaziranga Wildlife Sanctuary, spread over 858sq. km, is regarded as the most successful conservative initiative in India. This park is home to more than 70% of one-horned rhinoceros in the world. Along with this, is the abode of more than 60% of India’s wild buffalo population. The park also harbors 21 near threatened species and 25 globally threatened species of birds. Nohsngithiang Falls, also known as Mawsmai Falls, is the fourth highest waterfall in India. The waterfalls, illuminated by the sun from dawn to sunset, is a sight to behold. It’s one of the best places to visit in North East India. One must visit this waterfalls during the monsoons, when the streams overflow with water and form a rainbow.

  • Elephant Falls

A mountain stream descends graciously through two successive falls. These are collectively known as Elephant Falls. The two falls are Wir Phang Falls and the Wei Laplam Falls.
